Here's a photo of a recent piece that I worked on with the help of Tina @ LA models. She was a trooper for making my vision come to life. I would say that this is a good example of my personal style.; simple yet edgy.
After a busy week of shooting and photo editing, I needed a little break to recharge my creative batteries. I decided to work with a different medium. For this project, I'm working with a photo of Kate Moss by Mert & Marcus for Playboy's Jan/Feb 2014 issue. If you know me, you know my obsession with Kate Moss. I'll share more photos of the process as I work on this.
This is a piece that Chris and I worked on together last Summer that's hanging up in our studio along with other artwork. I've had a few visitors ask about the meaning behind this piece. I've never really had a straight answer, but told everyone that it just came together one day from an idea I had at like 3AM. The process itself has more meaning behind the actual subject matter. It was more about coming up with an idea and making it happen. Perhaps I had some creative desires that a camera couldn't fulfill.
Here's a preview from a shoot I did recently with Paige @ Otto Models. It had been a while since I've shot classic beauty images in studio. I'm a huge fan of B&W with high contrast. For this particular look, I was going for a dark and edgy look with a touch of submissiveness. Hair and makeup by the talented Lucky Sin
Tina and I took the Datsun out for a spin. We drove down Broadway with the windows down and the music up. It was 80 degrees so I think she was dressed appropriately. Really random fact about Tina: She's a HUGE Pat Benetar fan.
As I promised, here's more photos from my shoot with Johana. Sorry in advance if you get hungry. Enjoy!

Check out this set of photos I shot with Johana. She's a very versatile model as you can see. Johana and I decided to do a last minute test shoot. Sometimes, those are the best. You never know what you're gonna get. Let's just say this time, we knocked it out the park. This is going to become a two-part post. I'm sure you won't mind ;). This first set is more towards an active lifestyle look wearing Legendary Fit Co.
